Japanese people love to see the flowers in the spring and have cherry blossom viewing parties (花見).

In the UK we do not have any official events like this, but many people enjoy the spring flowers in the countryside or their own gardens.

Some wild flowers that you can enjoy in the UK in early spring are daffodils (ラッパズイセン), orchids (蘭), snowdrops (ユキノハナ) and violets (スミレ).

You can see wild cherry blossom in the UK, but unlike in Japan the flowers are white. Other common tree blossoms in the spring are crab-apple (姫リンゴに近い) and wild pear (やまなし).
